Happy Birthday Emily!!

Emily's Stats:
Weight: 27 pounds (between 25th and 50th percentile)
Height: 35.5 inches (75th percentile)

Back on November 4th, our big girl turned TWO. I can't believe I have a 2 year old. On her actual birthday we had a small family party at home. Over the weekend we took her to Chuck E Cheese with a few of our neighbors. She had such a blast!

Daddy brought Emily an Elmo balloon when he got home from work!

Earlier in the day we made a "Birthday Girl" hat for her to wear at her party.

Ethan wanted to try on the hat!

Blowing out the candles

Yummy frosting. Who needs cake when you have frosting?

One of Emily's favorite things to do at Chuck E Cheese was ski-ball! She loved running up the lane and throwing the ball into the holes. We kept saying that Aunt Lindsey would be proud! (She's notorious for cheating at ski-ball.)

This is how Big E spent most of the party :)

She also loved riding in this Clifford toy. Here she's signing (and saying) "more" because Clifford stopped moving.

She caught a glimpse of Chuck-E (the big mouse).

Cashing in her tickets so she can get some goodies!

Pointing out Family Members

We've been working on learning all the family members names. Emily doesn't say them, but she will point them out when asked. Hopefully this helps her feel a little more familiar with all these faces come Christmas time!

Halloween

We were lucky enough to have Aunt Kara come visit during halloween weekend. We spent Halloween day at the zoo, and went trick or treating around our neighborhood. I was worried Emily would be really nervous around all the new people and be shy and not want to go up to doors, but when she realized that she could get small shiny things and put them in her bucket - she was game!

Checking out the ghosts at the zoo with Aunt Kara

This girl loves her some dogs!

And she loves her some cows!

A Bee and a Pumpkin!

This pumpkin insisted on picking up EVERY leaf she saw and throw it off the edge of the walkway. She has an obsession with cleaning leaves/bark off of things.

Trick or treating!

The bee needed a snack break

The pumpkin bit THROUGH the wrapper of the 100 Grand to get to the candy! Determined. She knows where the good stuff is!

October Photos

Here are a few photos from October. After this I'll post about Halloween :). We'll get all caught up here eventually!

Halloween Crafts!

One of her favorite things - playing in the sink! We fill it with a couple inches of water and let her splash around in it with kitchen utensils. It makes a mess - but all you need to clean up is a towel!

Don't you just want to smooch both those faces?? I LOVE them!

Funny baby face

She loves playing with the aprons!

Tummy time!!

Mommy had to put Ethan to bed so Emily continued tummy time with her doll :)

Adventures in Baking

Yesterday Emily and I tried something new - baking! Right now, we're sticking to box mixes. We're not quite at the "baking from scratch with the Kitchen Aid mixer" stage yet. It's much more fun when she gets to do the stirring herself :).

Adding the fun-fetti!

Such a big helper!

Enjoying the fruits (or frosting) of our labor!

Thanks for the idea Kristin! We had so much fun! I have a feeling this wont be our last time baking together :).

Homestead Gardens

The last 2 weekends we went to Homestead Gardens' Fall Festival. We had to go twice because the first trip was...well...less than successful. Ended with 2 screaming kiddos. We had much more success the second time :).

Playing with Pumpkins

running around the big toy made out of hay!

This is how Ethan enjoyed the Fall Festival the first time around. The second time around he slept in the carseat the whole time :)

A few more photos

Adorable Big Sister

My little man with his welcome home sign from Emily

I'm a mess here - but it's a cute one of the kiddos

She has a style all her own :)

Testing out the sling (I don't really look this skinny - the sling just covers all the right places! haha)

We have one a lot like this of Chris with Em.

This could possible be my favorite Emily photo EVER.

Tasty Crayons

Cute, innocent little face

Helping dad take down the tape after painting the bathroom. We painted both of the full bathrooms in our house...Chris had to do some work on the walls, and then we decided to paint it while we were in there.

We figured out how to use the Moby wrap and he's a fan (as long as we're actually moving/walking.

Watch out Ethan!
