A couple weekends ago we went to the Piney Orchard street festival.  There were lots of food and craft vendors, along with face painting, a bouncy castle, rock wall climbing and live music! We had such a great time.  It was walking distance from our house, and Emily could see the top of the bouncy castle from her bedroom window - made nap time interesting!

Checking out the outfits by the fire truck

Climbing in the fire truck

First face painting! This was only half way through the bee...unfortunately the bee didn't last too long.  Emily scratched him off pretty quickly!

Saying Hi to Brandon in the bouncy castle.  Emily didn't stay in for very long - it was too hectic for her!

Dancing to the steel drums

Cuddles for her brother

Playing with the hay bales - she loved them.  More specifically - she loved pulling them apart :-/

Mother/Son Date night

We love our local Chick Fil A.  A couple weeks ago they had a "Mommy Son Date night'.

For those of you who aren't lucky enough to have eaten at Chick Fil A before, it's a fast food restaurant that serves only chicken and has excellent customer service, food quality, and commercials.

For our date night, we received a sunflower as soon as we walked into the restaurant and had our photos taken together.  We were taken to a table and our food was brought out to us as if we were dining in a "regular" restaurant.  There were "conversation starters" for moms and sons.  First our drinks came.  Then our chicken and sides.  Followed by desert.  It was such a fun night.  My friend Lisa and her son Brandon made it a double date!

Such a fun date night!  We ended it by letting the boys play on the toys ;).

Happy Birthday Daddy!

I found this awesome art project on pinterest! Emily loved it and the final project was pretty impressive for a 3 year old ;)

Final product

My friend and I went to a concert in Baltimore, and Chris watched all three kids on his own! He fed them dinner and put them all to bed! Can we say super-daddy?!?!

We also recently celebrated Chris' birthday! We spent Saturday singing happy birthday and eating cake and opening presents. Saturday evening Chris and I went out for steak!

Em insisted on helping him blow out the candles.

Happy boy loves his cake!

Valentine's Day

We had such a lovely valentine's day! Our friends Lisa and Brandon came over to decorate cookies!

Emily and her valentine

Lots of sprinkles!

Brandon seemed more excited to make cookie soup (in the pots from our play-kitchen) than actually decorating the cookies.

Ethan loved playing in the frosting

I'm all done!

Daddy came home and brought Emily a balloon and flower ;)

Loving the flower!

Our finished products. Don't they look tasty?

February Fun!

More birthday parties!

My kids love cupcakes

All tired out from the bouncy castle

We made some home made puffy paints!

Ethan loved to eat it!

Our friend Brandon painted with us!

Sweet friends :) Brandon and Emily

Post-painting snack!

We went bowling! Emily had been before, but this was Ethan's first time. They both had a blast! By the end of the game, Emily was carrying the balls up to the ramp for both of the boys so that they could push them down the ramp. She was such a good helper. I think she loved the shoes too ;).

Kids were not cooperating for a group photo

More non-cooperation ;)
