Happy Father's Day Daddy!
You may be thinking "but Father's Day was yesterday". Unfortunately, Chris had to work all day yesterday. Because of that, he only had to go in for a few hours on Monday, so that makes Monday our Father's Day.
On a special day like this, Emily wanted to take over and share some of her thoughts about her daddy.
Hi, this is Emily, and I just have to tell you about how awesome my daddy is! He's the best daddy in the world - I love him so much. My favorite thing to do with him is ride around on his shoulders! I get so excited when he comes home from work because I know I will get a shoulder ride very soon!

I love to grab onto his hair and move his head around. It feels so funny against my hands. I also like to rub my face against his hair. It tickles.

And when it comes time to go to bed, I love snuggling with daddy.

I love it when my daddy gives me my last bottle and puts me in my crib. It's our special cuddle time at the end of my day.
For his father's day present, I made him this beautiful painting. It's my first piece of art ever! Don't worry there will be more to come :).

Here are some more pictures of my daddy and I together. We're best buds!
Daddy holding me right after i was born

I love his belly kisses

I love to play with his hat!

Mommy says we're going out for a steak dinner tonight. I've seen my daddy eat steak before, and boy does it make him happy!
Happy Father's Day daddy! Thanks for being my dad. I love you!
Your little girl.

Belly sleeping!
Our sweet little Emily is now officially a belly sleeper!
Over the last few weeks, she's been rolling onto her belly at night and then screaming until we go in and roll her back. However, about a week ago, when I went to get her in the morning, she was on her belly! This happened many days in a row, and thanks to our home-made webcam, we could see that she was, indeed, sleeping on her belly all night!! She's taking after her cousin Molly and her friend Rose. What trend setters they are :).
Another thing we've noticed since she started sleeping on her belly is that she naps much better. She's always been our little sleeping champion at night, but her naps were usually about 45 minutes long. If a nap lasted more than 60 minutes, it was a big deal.
Now, she usually naps at least 1.5 hours, and sometimes up to 2! Now, whether this is due to belly sleeping, a growth spurt, or who-knows-what-else, is yet to be determined. But we're enjoying this new change in sleep habits while it lasts!
We also started using the "big girl stroller", as I call it. We used to push her around in her infant seat, but now she gets to use the bigger stroller!
We also ordered a floppy seat cover for when we're out and about. It will make grocery shopping and target shopping and costco shopping and all sorts of shopping much easier! (Watch out bank account!). I don't have to worry about all those nasty germs in restaurant high chairs or shopping carts.

Emily's new thing
The past few days, we've noticed that Emily likes to shake her head back and forth from side to side. It's really cute.
The clip was originally a couple minutes long, but I cut out the more boring parts. She starts out jumping, but about 1/3 of the way through the head shaking begins.

new toy storage!
Previous to last weekend, our front room (where we keep Emily's toys and spend most of our time with her) looked like this (you have to look past the cute baby to the background where all the junk is strewn all over the place...the walls above were bare):

Now, thanks to two Ikea trips and one awesome husband, it looks like this!

Not entirely sure what we're going to keep on top of the drawers...perhaps books? Bigger toys as we get them? We'll have to see. But you get the idea. Thanks Chris for all your hard work last weekend!!
