Sesame Place at Christmastime

We love to visit Sesame Place!  From late November through December, it's decorated for the holidays, so we had to go check it out!  There were lots of lights and Christmas trees.  Emily loved seeing all the characters, but Ethan was still a little shy :).  We rode on fun rides, ate yummy food, saw entertaining shows, and overall, had a fantastic time!

Waiting for the character parade to start!

Em's first rollercoaster - she loved it!  In  her words "I was a little bit scared".

Sesame Place

Here are a few photos from the rest of our Memorial Day weekend trip - Sesame Place and the Aquarium in Philadelphia (technically in Camden).

Emily loved the lazy river!  Ethan wasn't as big of a fan, but he still enjoyed it.  I think the life jacket we made him wear ruined some of the fun.   (He's napping while I take this photo)

Just chilling on Sesame Street :)

Emily and Daddy go on the big swings.

Emily loved the shows, but spent most of her time plugging her ears. She's sensitive to loud noises.  Ethan loved seeing Elmo.

She was very excited about the big bucket at the top of this structure - it poured water all over anyone standing below.

Philadelphia!  We're headed to the aquarium.  It was so much fun!

Petting a blue lobster!  The aquarium had at least 5 different "touch tanks".

Sesame Place

The Friday before 4th of July, we drove up to Sesame Place north of Philadelphia. Sesame Street is pretty much the only show Emily watches, and she LOVES it. I would compare Sesame Place to a very small Disneyland, but over half the rides are water rides, and everything is Sesame Street themed. It doesn't draw in adults the same way Disneyland does though.

Anyhoo, enjoy some of our photos from, what I consider, the best 6 hours of Emily's life! haha.

We tried to do the whole "photo with characters" thing, but Emily just didn't seem to get that you're supposed to smile at the camera - she was overwhelmed with the characters themselves!

The carousel! Emily's favorite!

We saw "Elmo's World Live", and Emily was so excited when Mr. Noodle came out that she was literally bouncing up and down).

They had a great big play area for little kids. Chris and Em played here a lot while I rested :).

Half way through our day, we changed into our swimsuits so we could go on the water rides/toys. While mom was changing, Em took a quick power nap!

Emily's not quite sure what to think about the big toys that squirt water out at us

Hmm - maybe this could be fun!

This particular monstrosity wasn't on our list of things to do this time, but we look forward to it in 2 years!

She was loving it - I promise!

One last ride on the carousel before we leave.

This will, without a doubt, become a yearly (at the very least) event for our family! It doesn't hurt that military get in free once a year :).
