Thanskgiving part 2

Kara joined us on Wednesday, and Ryan and Jess came down late Wednesday night.

Prepping the turkey!

Our Thanksgiving table! (Keiko is missing because she's taking the photo)

We played lots of Rock Band and Guitar Hero

Ryan and Emily had a duet

Taisei knows how to rock out!

Some of the clan went for a run. Here are post-run stretches. Emily participated!

Thanksgiving!

This post is long overdue. But I have to get it up before I can start working on Christmas posts!

Jeff Keiko and Taisei came to visit the longest. Keiko and Taisei stayed for almost 3 weeks! We had so much fun with them.

Fingerpainting!

Cousin kisses! hahahaha. Boy will this photo be fun to embarrass them with when they're teenagers!

We went for a walk to the park after Kara joined us! Feeding the ducks and playing on the toys is so much fun!

We did Christmas Crafts at Bass Pro Shops. We also got free santa photos!

We went to the DC zoo! We got to see the panda eat bamboo!

This is how Ethan spent his time at the zoo

Why do we even bother with a double stroller? haha...to hold all our stuff, of course!

Cousin fun! Ethan just loves Taisei

We played with bubbles

Taisei sneezed (Keiko - this picture is here for you!). Keiko and I laughed for at least 10 minutes when we saw Taisei's face in this photos!

Ethan looks like Uncle Cam

From the day he was born, I thought that Ethan looks a lot like his Uncle Cam (my brother). But I wasn't sure if I thought that because Cam's baby pictures are the boy baby pictures I've seen most. But once my mom saw him, she said the same thing!

So...what do you think?

November pics

Here are some pre-Thanksgiving November pictures :). Trying to catch up on pictures before I do our thanksgiving post!

Reading to her little bro :)

We're big fans of red velvet cake!

I turned around and Emily had organized the shoes by the front door! It's math! She already loves math! :)

Handsome little man

Bouncy castle fun

*Fist bump* Ethan and his BFF, Brandon

He has the most endearing smile...but impossible to catch

Emily loves helping with the laundry! We're hoping this is a long-term love :).

Getting ready for all our Thanksgiving guests!

She loved the batter - not the actual cupcakes...silly kiddo.

Almost a smile! But a cute face none the less!

Happy Birthday Emily!!

Emily's Stats:
Weight: 27 pounds (between 25th and 50th percentile)
Height: 35.5 inches (75th percentile)

Back on November 4th, our big girl turned TWO. I can't believe I have a 2 year old. On her actual birthday we had a small family party at home. Over the weekend we took her to Chuck E Cheese with a few of our neighbors. She had such a blast!

Daddy brought Emily an Elmo balloon when he got home from work!

Earlier in the day we made a "Birthday Girl" hat for her to wear at her party.

Ethan wanted to try on the hat!

Blowing out the candles

Yummy frosting. Who needs cake when you have frosting?

One of Emily's favorite things to do at Chuck E Cheese was ski-ball! She loved running up the lane and throwing the ball into the holes. We kept saying that Aunt Lindsey would be proud! (She's notorious for cheating at ski-ball.)

This is how Big E spent most of the party :)

She also loved riding in this Clifford toy. Here she's signing (and saying) "more" because Clifford stopped moving.

She caught a glimpse of Chuck-E (the big mouse).

Cashing in her tickets so she can get some goodies!

Pointing out Family Members

We've been working on learning all the family members names. Emily doesn't say them, but she will point them out when asked. Hopefully this helps her feel a little more familiar with all these faces come Christmas time!

Halloween

We were lucky enough to have Aunt Kara come visit during halloween weekend. We spent Halloween day at the zoo, and went trick or treating around our neighborhood. I was worried Emily would be really nervous around all the new people and be shy and not want to go up to doors, but when she realized that she could get small shiny things and put them in her bucket - she was game!

The pumpkin in her stroller

Checking out the ghosts at the zoo with Aunt Kara

This girl loves her some dogs!

And she loves her some cows!

A Bee and a Pumpkin!

This pumpkin insisted on picking up EVERY leaf she saw and throw it off the edge of the walkway. She has an obsession with cleaning leaves/bark off of things.

Trick or treating!

A pumpkin and a squash go trick or treating together!

The bee needed a snack break

The pumpkin bit THROUGH the wrapper of the 100 Grand to get to the candy! Determined. She knows where the good stuff is!

The trick or treaters!

Snacking with the neighbor pirate!
