We had so much fun with them! The kids are sufficiently spoiled and are adjusting well (all things considered) to the "real world".
I have way too many photos to sort through and post. BEtween our little family weekend trip to the Blue Mountains right before my parents came, and our road trip with them, I will be busy! Maybe I'll get them uploaded by the time Grandpa Mike and Grandma Susan come visit! :)
But I wanted to come here to tell you all that Emily has picked up her first official "Aussie" word! I pulled out a package of cookies (timtams) today an Emily kept saying "bickies, bickies!" to ask for some biscuits (cookies). She has been using this word off and on for the last month or so - but she's really using it a lot now. Chris and I do not call cookies "biscuits". It must be our playdates and playgroups we go to. It will be interesting to see if all cookies are "bickies" or if she only calls them that when they come from plastic wrapping...time will tell! I'm pretty sure last time she asked for a home made chocolate chip cookie, she used the word "cookie".
Ethan - sweet sweet E - has finally developed a "want" to be mobile. He's really good at "bouncing" forward. It's a matter of time before he figures out how to coordinate his hands and legs and crawl. He's getting pretty close. I'll be excited for him when he crawls, but then I have to baby-proof this apartment...which will be difficult because we can't actually install anything on doors or in kitchens/laundry room since we are in a short term rental. He also loooves to talk. He's got his D's and B's and M's. His little babble is so cute! Can't wait for more sounds. We have exciting times ahead!
