Here are a few photos taken throughout the summer.
Snuggling in Ethan's crib
This time in Emily's bed!
Emily, I think you have something on your head
She's got style!
Goofy boy
We love our library
SuperEthan...on a bike
She was tired!
I don't know what to say about this. Besides the fact that one day, he will be very upset at me for posting it online! But it's too funny to not share!
This week we went to Papa John's farm (no relation to the pizza chain!). The kids love a book called "The Big Red Barn" by Margaret Wise Brown (same woman who wrote Goodnight Moon) and this farm has every single animal from that book! The kids were very excited.
The kids decided they wanted to wear their farmer hats to the farm. Yee Haw!
Happy boy checking out the sheep!
Very excited to have the ducks eat the grass she shoved into the cage.
Cute ducklings. The kids fed the ducks for about half of our time there. It was a hit!
Food for the baby ducks
Rolling around in the grass
Dusty barn!

Last weekend we went to 2 great events! First was a touch-a-truck event at a local hospital. We got to see and climb in so many awesome vehicles!
They loved the ladder going up!
Sitting in a dump truck
Playing on a bus
Mail truck
Checking out the inside of the stretch hummer! Emily is plugging her hears because there were lots of horn honking outside and she's sensitive to loud noises - but she still has fun, even with her ears plugged.
The next day we went out to Larriland Farm.
They had a great kid-sized hay maze. It was just tall enough that most kids couldn't see over the top, but most adults could.
Snack break!
Hay ride!
Kids were rolling around in the hay, having a grand ol' time!
A local fencing club was there and had a fencing demonstration to try to recruit more fencers. They let Chris take the kids out on the strip :)
We LOVE to visit homestead gardens before Halloween. They always have a fun fall festival with lots of fun activities for the kids. This is our fourth year in a row we've gone! Here are the links to past visits (2011, 2010, and 2009)
This year was fun because both kids could really participate! I was thinking it would be fun to get cute portrait photos of the kids in the pumpkin patch...but apparently they weren't on the same page!
