Friday Phone Pics

This is up a little late. I lay down for a short "nap" around 6:30pm on Friday and didn't wake up until Ethan fussed in the middle of the night! Better late than never! My wonderful hubby got Emily fed and ready for bed and let me sleep the entire evening!

This was a busy busy week! Lots of photos :).

She now insists on doing so many things on her own. I have to allow 5-10 extra minutes to get out the door these days. Sometimes she does really good...sometimes...well..sometimes things turn out a little like this.



She's getting better at putting her ballet and tap shoes on by herself.


Saturday we went out to visit some friends (from when we were in England) who moved to the area and the kids took turns running around with this horse. They were having so much fun!



Here is Ethan's make-shift swaddle...I forgot to bring it with us so I had to get resourceful :). It worked great!



We had on our first "family of 4" meal at a restaurant. We ended up at Red Robin where Emily picked out her first kids meal!

Emily even got a balloon! All-in-all, a very successful trip to Red Robin.



We checked out a new Babies/Toys R Us out in Columbia. It's awesome! So big - and so many things to play with. We're lucky that Emily doesn't quite realize we could purchase all these things and they could come home with us.

Friday Phone Pics!

This week's phone pics.

I feel like I miss so many of the fun things we do...Doing these posts every friday will help me be better about capturing the fun little things we do :).

Valentine's Day was this week! I made Emily a heart-shaped grilled cheese sandwich for lunch...although you can't really tell that it was a heart in this photo...you'll have to take my word.



Small, colored, fuzzy craft balls ... aka earplugs? She kept putting them in her ear all day! Silly girl.



My chill snuggle bug hanging out in bed with me. He woke up early from his nap so we had some good mama/son snuggle time in my bed.



We're trying to go to storytime at the library more often! We're still figuring out the best way to handle the logistics because it's during Ethan's nap and Em's snack...so there are a lot of things to coordinate ;)



We did a craft with band aids and Emily put one of the broken ones on her face...all day. At least it matches her shirt!



Neighbor Riley hung out with us for a little while - and he taught Emily all sorts of cool things like how to dribble a basketball (she tries...it's really cute) and how to turn your pretzels into vampire fangs! Emily literally worships the ground he walks on and follows him around everywhere giving him hugs.



This week's letter of the week was B! We made all sorts of fun crafts with "B" and read books about bees and butterflies!

Friday Phone Pics

I am attempting to start doing a "Friday Phone pics" post. I saw the idea on my friend Kristin's blog and thought it would be a good use of all these phone pics I take but never really post. A couple of these pics were taken last week...but most of them are from this week :). Hopefully I can keep this up and do it every Friday! Just don't expect very high quality photos - this is my camera phone :)





Lisa and Brandon came over to play. We can't wait 'til these little guys are a little older and can actually play together! Brandon is 2 months older!


Emily takes a snack break from making Texas Sheet Cake with mom. Notice her adorable apron made by Grandma Susan!


We went to story time at the library (Ethan slept through it) where we read lots of books about penguins and pidgeons. Afterward we got to do a "P" craft.


A quick impromptu trip to Costco to pick up more formula for Ethan! She is in love with this shirt :).


Mom was working on laundry and Emily found her halloween costume and insisted on putting it on


Over the last week or two, she's become obsessed with putting her socks on her hands...silly girl!


Nina and her daughter Aaliyah came to play! Lucky us - NIna normally works but is taking some time off to hang with her daughter...so they joined us for a day! :)


Here is Emily with her "M" crafts from the week (marshmallows, mountain and monster). I'm attempting to do a "letter a week" with her where we focus on a new letter each week. This week we did M crafts and read about mountains and monkeys.

The joys of winter...

Poor Emily has fallen victim to a stomach bug :(. She's been out of commission now for 5 days. She actually had her first "real" food today! half a piece of bread and a little applesauce. Small victories!

This week we've done a lot of tv watching, book reading, and sleeping. Hopefully she's now on the mend so we can get back normal life!



She never normally falls asleep anywhere other than her bed or the carseat. She's one sick kiddo :(.
