Kid-isms

While watching the superbowl:
Emily: What color are we?
Ethan: Blue
Emily: How do you know?
Ethan: That's the same color as daddy's shirt
Emily: Daddy played for the Seahawks?!?!?!


Ethan: Germs are bullies.


At Emily's violin lesson yesterday:
Mr. Darryl: do you have any other questions?
Emily (in a soft shy voice): Can you play Vivaldi?
Mr. Darryl: oh Vivaldi? Let me think, which one...
Emily: Spring?
Mr. Darryl: Oh, sure! Let me see if I can remember that one...*proceeds to play it*
I wish I had taken a picture of the look of amazement on her face.


Ethan is singing Carmina Burana while coloring.


Emily: I can count to 100 by 10's. 0, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100.
Ethan: I can count to 100 by 100's. 100.


Ethan asked to listen to "beautiful music." After some trial and error, I figured out that he wanted the classical music channel on the tv.


Emily: the last number is infinity.
Me: yes.
Emily: what number is before zero?
Me: negative 1.
Emily: so, is the very first number negative infinity?

Long time no post! We're getting settled in down here in Texas. We've been busy finding everything a spot. But we're very happy to have all this extra space!

I will do a big house post once everything has a place, all the boxes are unpacked, and we have photos up on the wall! But for now, I'm going to try to catch up on summer photos.

The B&O Museum in Baltimore had a "Day out with Thomas" where you could take a ride on a train that was actually pulled by Thomas the train!

We checked out the museum, and then enjoyed our own ride on Thomas.
